Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek

Mardi Himal is the name given to the feature of the long rising ridge and its summit that from the southwesterly lower slope of Mount Machapuchere, the famous triangular skyline that is seen from the Phewa Lake at Pokhara.
This is one of the exotic and interesting treks in Nepal, uncrowned terrains providing the golden chance to explore traditional villages, incredible scenery, infinite and diversity of culture, spectacular views of silvery mountains and tempting views of river and exotic valley can be seen on the way of trekking trail.

Main attraction
Mid -hill cultural area, Gurung, Magars, Brahmin, and Kshetri are the inhabitants mainly, off the beaten path, with unforgettable short journey, a great photographic site showing whole Annapurna, Dhaulagiri ranges. Protect conserved wilderness.
Accessibility
Fly or drive to Pokhara, by land 7 hr. drive and by air 30 minute, morning transfer to trailhead and starts trek, after the trek again drive back to Pokhara from take out point.
The Route
Max. Altitude 4120 m. teahouse lodges. 5-6 hr. average walks per day, easy trail, and temperate climate jungle walk.
Best season
Aug. to May, Rhododendron blooms in the spring
Facility
Teahouse lodges managed by ACAP and eco-aware local people. Tented camping trip can also be organized, safe drinking water projects.
Mardi Himal Base Camp Trekking Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). You depart early for the 7 hours drive by tourist deluxe bus to Pokhara (915m.), 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. This drive will take most of the morning, leaving much of the afternoon for a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, shopping in the markets and shops or just relaxing with a drink on the shores of the lake. You stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 02: Drive from Pokhara to Dhampus Phedi and trek to Pothana. The first part of your trek is easy passing through numerous small villages and settlements. Afterwards you could ascend gently to the final destination of the day.
Day 03: Trek from Pothana to Deurali.
Day 04: Trek from Deurali to Mardi Himal Base Camp.
Day 05: Rest at Mardi Himal Base Camp.
Day 06: Trek from Mardi Himal Base Camp to Lachock.
Day 07: Trek from Lachok to Dhampus Khola.
Day 08: Drive from Dhampus Khola to Pokhara.
Day 09: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
