2018 China Adventure Tourism Forum- Himalayan Summit held in Kathmandu

The China Adventure Tourism Forum- Himalayan Summit 2018 was recently held in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal from November 6, 2018 till November 7, 2018 under the theme ‘Awe and Responsibility’.

Nearly 100 people including tourism entrepreneurs and experts from both China and Nepal were participated in the summit where various aspects of tourism were discussed. Specially, the prospects of adventure tourism with Environmental protection and Nepal-China relation were main topic of the summit hosted by the China Tourism Association and All China Environment Federation.

Duan Qiang, President of China Tourism Association, said that Adventure Tourism holds great geological scope. He also added, Nepal is becoming popular destination Chinese and other adventure seekers throughout the world.

This summit will pave the way for better tourism standards for the sustainable eco tourism practices in Nepal and China, said one of the officer from Nepal Tourism board.

The official of Nepal Tourism Board ‘Nandini Lahe Thapa’ said Nepal is celebrating the year 2020 as Visit Nepal Year with a target of two million tourists to Nepal, while Nepal is preparing itself to get more Chinese Tourists.

Nepal is focusing on improving the infrastructure, air and land accessibilities, new tourism products, attractions etc. to make the tour in Nepal more worthy and standard in order to increase the Chinese tourist numbers and tourists from other emerging market.

The Summit comprised presentation, speeches and round table discussion on various topics covering the development of the polar ecotourism, creating ultimate products and making the tourism sustainable and environment friendly.

The giant Himalayas of Nepal are famous as best trekking destination since it was first opened in mid 18th century.  This summit is believed to increase the tourism standard and increase Chinese and other tourists as well in large number.
